1)    Why is SafeCloudBox better?
SafeCloudBox is superior because we do not store your password or encryption key. Other providers maintain, store and manage encryption keys. We hash everything including your encryption key and your files.  In addition, our proprietary technology recognizes which devices are authorized to access your folders and files.

 
2)    How do SafeCloudBox servers, client desktop or mobile app work together?
Whatever client device that you utilize, SafeCloudBox software automatically and securely syncs with other devices that you use.  All your files are hashed, encrypted and geo-distributed to servers that you choose, either private or public cloud, or even mixed in a hybrid scenario.  

3)    Can I use the mobile app without cloud servers?
The SafeCloudBox server software, operating in either customer premise private servers or public cloud servers, work in tandem with the client software.  Future releases of the software will allow mobile app to operate without cloud servers.

4)    What happens if a server goes down?
We provide automatic failover when one or more SafeCloudBox software installed servers go down.  Data is automatically recovered depending on the number of failed servers and how many servers are initially deployed.
 

5)    What operating systems do you support?
Today, we support LINUX, MacOS, Apple iOS mobile.  Windows is currently in development for deployment in 3Q 2018.  Android will be available by 4Q 2018.

6)    Can we use your software on public cloud storage servers?
Yes, you can use any public cloud that supports LINUX, such as AWS, Azure, Google, or any Cloud Service Provider storage platform.  Technically our software can run on any platform that utilizes VMWare or virtualization.

7)    How secure is the communication between servers and clients?
All data in transmission utilizes one of the highest levels of RSA transmission encryption that is protected against quantum computer hacking.

8)    Can we license your software and deploy this on our existing storage servers?
Yes, we provide annual and perpetual software license to be deployed in private cloud environment.  This can be inside your own private infrastructure, or any public cloud computing and storage services such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or any other cloud hosting service provider.  You will require a LINUX based operating system, or a VM instance, with our software installed on a minimum of three storage servers.  More storage servers provide a higher degree of restoration and protection. 

9)    How do you restore files after ransomware attack?
All files are audited and ledgered with blockchain technology so that any modified, corrupted, deleted, or encrypted files can be restored to their originate state.  In addition, we can identify who accessed the file and when so that a compromised user can be identified as far back as you want for compliance purposes.

10)    Can we OEM your software platform?
Yes, Cloud Service Providers, or Value Added Resellers can use their own brand to provide secure cloud storage services to their customers.  However, the mobile app will continue to be SafeCloudBox branded. 

11)    Does your software platform meet Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) such as HIPAA, FISMA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR ?
SafeCloudBox software as a service solution does not store any password or encryption keys.  All password and encryption keys are hashed and distributed to any device and any location.  SafeCloudBox solution will help comply with the current US and international information security compliance regulations which fine organizations if a breach occurs. GDPR fines 2% of annual revenue is a breach is not reported immediately.

12)    What GDPR articles do you comply?
European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will become effective May 25, 2018.  Organizations need to be keenly aware of these changes as they can face a very strict fine in case of non-compliance.   SafeCloudBox solution would help organizations comply with Article 25: Data protection by design and by default, Article.32: Security of processing, Article 35: Data protection impact assessment .  Fines can result up to 2% of the corporate revenue if a breach occurs.

13)    What is your pricing model?

Pricing is simple.  SafeCloudBox pricing model is based on the number of clients and the number of server subscription.  Customers also have the option of a perpetual license or cloud service subscription model.

14)    Can you help integrate with our existing application platform(s)?

Yes. We can provide professional installation and integration service.   Depending on the complexity and integration level of effort, project will be priced based on time and material.  It will be completed so that SafeCloudBox is seamless within your current operating environment.  Unlike other providers, we do not charge for API calls once it is integrated with your existing platform.
